New User Help - Safety Officer's (Moderators)

What is a Safety Officer?

Safety Officer's are fully trained, police vetted Volunteer Moderators who work on a voluntarily to ensure that the island is always a safe environment to visit. Our Moderators answer your Calls For Assistance, manage reported profile content and also overlook all files that are uploaded to user profiles. All of the Safety Officer's within Club Tropica are atleast 18 years of age and have been carefully selected for their role.

Voluntary Moderators are responsible for taking action against users who break the Islands rules.

How do I recognise a Safety Officer?

All Safety Officer's have a special badge with the letter "I" in the middle; if they are on duty then the badge will be showing. If their badge is hidden then please respect their privacy, remember they are site users just like you and they just volunteer to spend time helping.

Where can I find an Safety Officer?

Safety Officer's spend time all around the Island, if you need to see one urgently you should use the Call For Assistance by clicking the '?' button while logged into the Island (The orange question mark).

What 'powers' do Safety Officer's have?

All Volunteer Moderators can mute, alert, kick, confine a user to a guest room or restrict profile editing & access. Only the Community Support team have access to your account information, Moderators recieve no reward for volunteering but do take pride in helping their Community.

We closely monitor all allegations/suspicions of power abuse seriously. All situations are investigated thoroughly and dealt with as appropriate. If you would like to complain about a Moderator, email us via the Help Tool and select the 'Account Queries' option.
